Fr. Jonathan, very nice apology of our faith as anglicans and our strong ties with Holy Scripture. Question: what about the Traditional Anglican Communion or TAC? What is going on between Rome and them?
Many prayers for your ministry.
Sorry Father, apology in spanish, apologia, means defense. i do not think the word has the same meaning in spanish and english. My bad.
Hi Javier,
Apology does not usually get that way in English, but theology is the exception. In theology, apologetics is the field of making a defense for the faith, so I understood what you were saying perfectly.
As far as TAC and the Romans go, my understanding is that they are slowly being brought into the Roman Church by way of the ordinariates as they are established. I do not know much about TAC, so I couldn’t tell you how authentically Anglican they have been historically, but if they’re entering into communion with Rome on Rome’s terms without the slightest doctrinal concerns, chances are that they haven’t been particularly Anglican in anything but name in a very long time.
Another suggestion, either for a video or a blog post- does classical Anglicanism require a literal reading of Genisis 1-2?
Ahhh, there’s a sticky one. But I fear no question! I’ll add it to the queue.
